Don't forget to dream...

Me
Steph :)

I'm a dreamer. 18 years young. My God has saved me, and continues to save me every day. My greatest desire is to help people, and show them that they're loved.
Sometimes I write things that sound nice and they can be found here http://innerworkingsofsteph.blogspot.com/

For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. - Psalm 57:10
pet peeve.

amomentinthelife:

When people begin prayers with “hey God” or “it’s me God”, or “what’s up bro” (haha) or anything like that. RESPECT people, respect. He’s not your best bud, He’s your CREATOR and your KING. He is so much HIGHER. He at least deserves the respect of being approached with reverence.

This wouldn’t fit in a reply.

He may be our Creator & King, but he’s also our friend. We’re called to be in a relationship with Him, and relationship means conversation. I personally alternate, but most of the time I say ‘hey God’ or just ‘God,’ because I think it’s not just about what you say, but how you’re saying it. It’s about your heart. If I go to God and say ‘hey God, You are beyond words. I can’t even think of words to describe how grateful I am that You love me so much’ I still think I’m being respectful and revering Him.

Just putting my two cents in…. Matt’s view is veerrryy similar...the more Islamic...
  2. noruffles said: I think it really depends on the person. It used to annoy me too but then, God is just so… well, He is amazing, and He has this great sense of humour, and I think being real and personal with God is more important than anything. However it sounds,
  3. throughherprettyeyes said: I agree, kind of a lot actually, but I still feel like any prayer is good prayer, and it helps people realize that they really can pray about anything. We should be intimidated by God in a lot of ways, but not so much that we can’t talk to him.
